In these challenging times, one mompreneur has launched her own business to help support her and her family. LaShondra White, mother of six, started Fab Fash, an online clothing store with matching accessories for women, after she was furloughed from her job in March of 2020.
Fab Fash offers cute, comfy, and stylish women’s clothing and jewelry. One hundred percent woman-owned, the e-tailer is proud to source a large majority of their clothing from the USA, and strives to support as many American manufacturers that they can while providing quality clothing at good prices.
Surviving During Difficult Times
Fab Fash is located in Detroit, Michigan, one of the hardest-hit areas for unemployment casualties. LaShondra said in a press release, “My kid and I are doing our best to survive and remain positive during this pandemic. I’m doing my best to use this opportunity for something positive to be a ‘mompreneur.’”
Focusing on improving her circumstances, LaShondra has launched various businesses to improve income opportunities, with companies such as Fab Fash, Crave Cosmetics, and Sheer Faces. As a licensed cosmetologist, LaShondra possesses the knowledge to craft cosmetics for all different skin types for her company Crave Cosmetics. Sheer Faces is a lash studio that is currently on hold but will open once the lockdowns are lifted in her state.
Working with two different manufacturers, LaShondra is able to create cruelty-free products for a wide variety of skin tones. Currently, the company offers multiple different lip gloss shades as well as a brush cleaner, with more new and innovative products soon to come.
Coming Out Strong
LaShondra is a single parent that knows the value of shopping on a budget, and that’s why she strives to make her products affordable yet good quality. We all know how important it is to support small businesses during this time, and with the help of consumers, LaShondra and many others local businesses can make it through and come out strong.
Both Fab Fash and Crave Cosmetics are currently online only, with no known future about becoming a brick-and-mortar storefront. Sheer Faces is scheduled to open when the Governor will allow businesses to reopen in Michigan.
