As the spring draws closer, the weather is getting warmer and more U.S. citizens are being accepted to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, which means that more consumers will be ready to come out to the flea markets to snag some bargains. As it stands right now, most markets are making it by and the traffic is starting to pick up, but it is not exactly as busy as it was before the shutdowns in 2020.
According to the market manager at the Outdoor Market at the Central Florida Fair, business is starting to thrive again. The past couple of months have shown positive growth with more vendors and buyers coming to the flea, which proves that consumer confidence is improving and traffic should pick up to pre-pandemic levels in no time.
Even Aloha Stadium’s Swap Meet & Marketplace recently introduced new hours on Wednesdays, in addition to their regular schedule on Saturdays and Sundays. While the Aloha Stadium remains closed due to COVID-19 guidelines in accordance with the government, the parking lot activities are open, which include the swap meet. Safety still remains the number one priority, but there is no denying that everyone is tired of being stuck at home and are willing to go outside at any given opportunity.
This is no time to slack, so be sure to do everything you can to make your booth successful and keep customers flocking to your market. Happy Valentine’s Day and happy selling!
