It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The loveable and gift-giving season is back in full swing, and you’re ready for it. By now, you should be fully stocked and ready for the holiday rush to come trampling through. The only thing left to do now is weed out the competition and draw customers to your booth, and the Merchandiser Group has some tips to help you stand out from the rest.
Put a bow on it. Nothing screams ‘gift idea’ better than a product with an actual bow on it. There’s just something so attractive about bows and they come in all sorts of colors and sizes. Get crafty, and place bows on top of your product displays to really get your customers thinking about the perfect gift for that special someone. You can even get some empty shoe boxes or old shipping boxes and wrap them in colorful paper. Get your customers thinking about the holidays by visually placing physical presents scattered all over your booth.
Use your products as decorations. Get a tree and decorate it with different products you sell, even if you don’t sell ornaments. Just about anything can look good on a tree: hats, gloves, jewelry, small hand purses, some toys, you name it. You can also scatter your bigger products underneath the tree to complete the look. Get creative and see what you can hang on your booth tree.
Light ‘em up. Festive lights are always fun to look at — people don’t go driving around neighborhoods looking at the different lights on people’s houses for nothing. One simple strand of colorful lights can do wonders for your booth, and the kids will most likely drag their parents over to have a look, which is a great way to strike up a conversation and create a personalized experience for the customer. String lights around your booth table or on your decorative tree to really make your products stand out.
Sprinkle candy all over your booth. Everybody loves candy, and candy canes can really spruce up a plain-looking table. You can either put a jar on your table filled with some goodies to share with customers, or for some extra fun you can sprinkle them all over. This is another way to get kids to drag their parents over and enjoy some candy while you introduce them to your products. Candy canes are another fun thing to add to your decorative tree and you can have a customer pick one from the tree when they make a purchase. This makes for a great gift-with-purchase incentive and kids will love it.
Decorate with nature. Wherever you live, you’re bound to find trees in the area. Grab an old vase, snip some branches from a pine tree, or any tree, and fill the vase with them. You can add some small ornaments, lights, or candy to the vase for that extra pop of color. The best part about this decorative item is you don’t have to water it.
