If you’re looking to sell or buy the perfect vintage antique, then the Athens Schoolhouse Antiques Show is the place to go. This monthly show in Kentucky holds their events inside and outside for the perfect garden party or bridal or baby showers. They offer a large selection of vintage and antique furniture, artwork, pottery, dishes, silverware, rugs, home décor, collectibles, clothing and jewelry, and toys and games.
The Rose family started Lexington’s Antique and Collectible Show and Sale in the spring of 1985 in an old tobacco warehouse. After the warehouse closed for the season, the antique show would take over. Changing their location to the Athens Boonesboro Schoolhouse, the tradition continued for over 27 years. They have a beautiful historic setting featuring the Thoroughbred countryside and easy parking.
There is a back door café with a mouth-watering lunch menu that includes popular open face pulled pork sandwiches and many other assorted soups, sandwiches and homemade desserts, all at affordable prices. The buying fun doesn’t have to stop with the food and the antiques show, either. Handcrafted tables made of heart pinewood from the Lexington Loose Leaf Tobacco Warehouse, sitting in their café, are available for sale. Millions of pounds of tobacco were sold over those wood floors and the normal wear and tear creates a unique product that can’t be duplicated. The cafe also offers custom sizes for tables and benches upon request. Vendors interested in reserving space are encouraged to call or email for specifics. Come and see every vintage masterpiece this monthly show has to offer.
