Printed backpacks that normally wholesale for $2.75 each are being liquidated for $0.99 apiece. Backpacks can be sold for anywhere from $4 to $10, depending on the market. “The backpacks will remain at this price until we run out of them,” comments Kevin Downey, owner and president. “At the moment, we have about 15,000 of them available.” Destination bags have been selling out quickly, but styles featuring Hawaii, Cape Cod, Mackinac Island and New York City are among those still up for purchase. From the designer collection, bags with crosses, yin yang symbols, butterflies and more are still available, as well. For a limited time, State Line Bag Company’s plain cotton drawstring backpacks are also included in the $0.99 special deal. The product can be treated as a sheet of paper, ideal for everything from artwork to custom lettering.
State Line’s other muslin bags are offered in eight sizes, from 2.5 by 4 inches up to 12 by 16 inches. “It’s all about options with us,” Downey says. The options extend beyond bag design to selling opportunities, and though the premium bags sell well as a standalone product, they also work well as packaging for retailers looking for just the right keepsake bag to accompany jewelry or gifts. The company will fill order quantities of as few as 50 per order, which is a new, lower minimum the company adopted when it launched the premium bag line. A variety of discounts are available, starting with 500 piece orders and with further price breaks by quantity. Bags can be delivered in a matter of days, with the option for two day shipping if a buyer would like to look into that avenue. State Line also offers free shipping within the continental United States for wholesale orders of $70 or more.
