Becher Street Flea Market has just opened in Milwaukee, WI, on the corner of First and Becher near the Bay View area. Open Saturdays and Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the year-round venue offers both indoor and outdoor spaces, starting at $25 per weekend. Jon Majdoch, a former vendor at 7 Mile Fair, told the Bay View Compass that the market is “in an amazing location,” right off the freeway, and “there is a huge population in a three mile radius.”
The market is seeking vendors of new and used items, including arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, overstocks, closeouts, liquidations, food and more. Some market vendors have experience in retailing, and others are new to the business. Majdoch teaches them the basics, such as how to collect and report sales tax, the Bay View Compass reports.
