YML Group manufactures and distributes a large selection of cages for small animals, such as birds, dogs and other pets, as well as other pet supplies, including cushions. “Flea markets are great outlets for our products, because many markets sell live animals,” says Michael Lee, owner. “It is a good combination to sell the animals and the cages at the same time to make it easy for shoppers to take the animals home. Based on our research, the most popular cages to sell at flea markets are for small animals such as gerbils, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, mice and rats, as well as dogs and birds. We have many styles and colors available.”
Small animal cages are manufactured in a wide variety of sizes and styles, and come with various amenities, such as a translucent color top cover, removable ball, food dish, drink bottle, house, wheel, platform and tubes to keep pets active and content. Birdcages can have, for example, a pull down front door, feeder doors, perches, an easy to clean removable metal grate and a slide out bottom plastic tray. Dog crates are foldable, offer an easy to clean slide out bottom plastic tray and a single door, and are easy to set up without tools.
YML Group has been selling animal cages for more than 15 years. In addition to being sold in retail stores, the brand is marketed through several online shops, including Amazon, eBay and Wal-Mart.com, and the name is well known to consumers.
“Our pricing is very competitive and we offer the best possible quality products,” Lee points out. Wholesale starts as low as $3.50 and goes up to $200 per item, and retail is at least double wholesale pricing. There is no minimum order. Vendors are welcome to shop the company’s warehouse in El Monte, CA, and can pick up one or two of any item. The company will ship orders throughout the U.S. as well.
