A new flea market, called Downtown Flea, will open in the historic core of Los Angeles, CA, July 28th. Downtown Flea will be open the fourth Sunday of every month, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spanning five parking lots, the market will feature up to 400 vendors selling new and vintage goods, eight food trucks, bands and DJs, a VIP lounge, beer garden, rock climbing and even a helipad. Admission to Downtown Flea is $5.
Rental rates range from $65 for a 10 foot by 10 foot booth to $135 for a 20 foot by 20 foot corner space. Food truck vendors will pay $175. Flea marketers interested in renting a space must complete the online registration and application form on the market’s website.
In addition, the market will host a monthly scavenger hunt in which attendees will have to collect free items from each lot. The first 20 people to find all eight items and bring them back to a station will get $20 in FleaBucks that can be spent like cash at all participating booths. Everyone who competes in the hunt will be added to the market’s quarterly drawing, as well, for prizes such as an iPad and clothes.
The following lots are being transformed into the Downtown Flea:
- Yellow Lot: 246 S. Spring Street
- Purple Lot: 253 S. Main Street
- Blue Lot: 233 S. Main Street
