What started in a flea market booth selling incense has grown into a long-term successful business for Matt’s Incense. The company was created in 1992, and incorporated in 1996 when Linda Simon and her husband started making the products on their own in their garage. They frequently sold incense at local flea markets and could not believe how great the response was. Due to the overwhelming positive feedback, the couple decided to go on their own and began their research on buying and selling, and thus the company was born.

In the near future, the company plans on expanding into another market, jewelry. “I’ve seen how well jewelry does so I think it would be interesting to expand into that,” said Simon.
