Now in its seventh year, the September 2015 Asia America Wholesale Show was a major success, topping the 7,000-person attendance record with over 1,900 buyers directly from the Caribbean and 2,700 from Central and South America. The majority of attendees were buyers from international companies based in Miami doing business in both the Caribbean and Latin America.
All general merchandise, apparel, toys, costume jewelry, electronics, and many other products sold strongly at the show. No exhibitor left the show without making great sales and new business contacts. “We had over 250 exhibitors and are expecting 400 for the April 2016 Miami Wholesale Show,” says Michael Finocchiaro, President.
Buyers attending the show found a huge array of new merchandise, all at great prices. The main draw for buyers, Finocchiaro says, are new products, but there are also closeouts, liquidations, and clearance vendors. Considering the strength of the exploding South American economy, now is the right time for a trade show focused on buyers from this area, especially in light of the fact that South America surpassed China as the world’s fastest growing region in recent times.
Now producing two shows a year, the sister show to September’s Asia America is known as the Miami Wholesale Show. This new wholesale show will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center on April 10-11, 2016. Booth reservations are going fast so they urge exhibitors to pick their prime booth selection and get their early bird discounts now. The 2016 Asia America Wholesale show will be held on August 24-26, 2016 at the same convenient convention center.
With the rising economy in the Caribbean and Latin America, Finocchiaro expects solid growth for the spring show. “The Miami Wholesale show will host several different international trade conferences with organizations and associations from the Caribbean and Latin America during the April 10-11, 2016 show, which will bring in new buyers for all our exhibitors,” says Finocchiaro.
