Hot Vapes, a manufacturer and supplier of personal vaporizers, is reaching out to flea market and swap meet vendors with a new wholesale page on the company Web site. “We just launched two weeks ago,” says Hot Vapes owner Tim Roche. “The new page features an online magazine that really lets you see the products.”
The new Web page is just one of several ways the company is working to attract new vendor customers to sell its signature personal vaporizer products, commonly known as “electronic cigarettes.” According to Roche, “This is a new market, and vendors have the opportunity to reach a lot more people.” But what sets Hot Vapes apart from other suppliers? “Looking around the marketplace, many vendors are focused on the starter kits and on small kits. We provide that, definitely,” says Roche. “But we also have our own custom-made devices that aren’t available anywhere else because we design them. We’re not just looking to sell a one-time item. We want to upgrade repeat customers to the next level.” He also mentioned the wide range of flavors and varieties as another selling point.
Roche’s enthusiasm for his product comes from personal experience. “We got started because my girlfriend, who was a heavy smoker, picked up an electronic cigarette kit online and started using it,” he says. “After three months she told me she was quitting traditional cigarettes. I was amazed by that, because she had said she was never going to quit. I thought it was a really good thing that could help a lot of people.”
