Lorrie Powell Studios (LPS) is known for making “Hip Signs for Cool Folks.” Founded in 2000, LPS evolved from an art studio that produced fine art, glass, ceramics, and furniture. Now, the business produces unique signs targeting the baby boomer generation. Denise Powell tells Merchandiser Group, “all of our designs are original and each of our signs is handmade by our staff right here in the USA. Our quality puts us a notch above any competitor”
Their best selling line is the grandparent line. “We have more than 150 grandparent nicknames that reach to all geographic regions,” says Powell. “We have twelve different themes for both grandmothers and grandfathers touching on different interests.” LPS also has signs featuring “hilarious sayings that bring smiles to people’s faces,” continues Powell, “and inspirational lines.”
The signs are a great option for vendors because they are very visual and eye-catching. “Our signs bring crowds to the booths because people gather to read them,” says Powell. “The laughter is very contagious.” For each buyer, LPS helps create a package that is best for your market based on location, target demographic, and budget. “We have rotating racks available, many people also use a grid system for an easy display,” advises Powell.
LPS signs come in two different sizes, 5” x 8” and 9” x 10”. The smaller signs wholesale for $3.50 and recommended retail is $9.99. For the larger signs, buyers pay $5.00 and recommended retail is $19.99. Minimum order is $200. Shipping is free for orders over $500.
“We sell all over the world. Our wholesale customers are pleased with the service and the profit they make on our products,” says Powell. “We take customer service very seriously and continue to fill orders quickly.” Lorrie Powell Studios is a family owned and operated business. It was founded by Lorrie Powell and presently operated by her son, sister, and mother to honor her memory. For more information visit www.lorriepowellstudios.com.
