Mark’s Wholesale, launched in February 2011, is a wholesaler of a broad range of products, including handbags and wallets, fashion jewelry, tools, home products, toys and novelties, and more. To help flea market vendors meet the demand for today’s hottest craze, the loom bracelet, Mark’s Wholesale is selling 300-piece packs of small rubber bands. “Users do not need a loom to make the standard style bracelet,” says Mark Alexander, president. “We sell bags of latex free rubber bands in solid and assorted colors. We also are making videos to demonstrate how easy it is to create the standard and fishtail designs.” The rubber band bags wholesale for around $1 each, and vendors can sell them for $2 and up.
Faux leather bags with trending cross symbol
Handbags and wallets are a huge category for Mark’s Wholesale, and the company offers around 500 different styles. Tree camo print handbags, in both messenger and hobo styles, are strong sellers for fall, according to Alexander. Mark’s Wholesale carries both messenger and hobo bags, with a variety of vibrant trims, such as red, pink and green. The faux leather bags are decorated with today’s trending cross symbol. Tree camo print handbags generally wholesale for $19 and retail for $30 and up.
Fashion jewelry is always popular with shoppers, and Mark’s Wholesale has a broad line of bracelets, earrings, necklaces and more, priced at $7 per dozen. Items retail for $3 to $4 each. “Our faux leather bracelets with symbols, such as a star, skull and crossbones and elephant are selling very well,” Alexander shares. “Beaded cross bracelets are also hot right now.”
Perhaps the company’s deepest product line is tools, and the firm offers around 3,000 items in this category. “We cover every kind of hand tool from hammers to axes to screwdrivers,” Alexander states. Vendors can buy a hammer for as little as $1.10 and retail it for double.
With roots himself in the flea market business, Alexander knows what vendors need and is dedicated to customer service. “We started out as flea market vendors so we have been on the receiving end. We do whatever we can to help our customers and if there is a problem, we will fix it,” Alexander stresses.
Mark’s Wholesale has low minimum order quantities in all product categories. The minimum order for jewelry, for example, is one dozen pieces. Prices on the website are retail, but if vendors register they can log in for wholesale pricing. Orders may be placed online, and the company will ship items or vendors can pick their orders up at the company’s warehouse. Website inventory is updated in real time and most merchandise ships within one business day. Alternatively, vendors may visit the company’s warehouse in South West City, MO, to peruse and buy merchandise.
