A new flea market in Rankin, Miss., launched on July 10 and hit the ground running. Sporting a mouthful of a name — “The Flea Market, Mississippi’s Trade Place” — the venue features 150-plus indoor spaces covering 24,000 square feet, as well as concessions, restrooms, live music, and room to expand.
The market is also getting the word out on several fronts, with a Web site, an active Facebook page (with 657 fans), a video commercial, and glowing coverage in the local paper.
Over 100 vendors have signed on so far, paying $20 for a teensy 2×10 space up to $100 for a 10×24 booth. The market runs Saturdays and Sundays.
