In Montreal, three flea markets have opened in the past year. According to a report in the Montreal Hour, local markets are booming.
The St. Michel Flea Market (Marché aux puces St-Michel), at the corner St. Michel and Cremazie, has attracted 90 vendors since it opened last year, and it was named one of the top five Best Kitsch / Antique Stores in the Montreal Mirror.
The Marché La Récré in the Mile-End neighborhood launched in June and runs through October; the market is still welcoming new vendors. A video of the market is on YouTube.
And the Montreal Market opened in August, renamed itself as Plateau Market, and went on hiatus, unfortunately, at the end of August — but it is seeking a new indoor venue.
