The grand opening of New Castle Farmers Market took place on October 29, 1954 and now, for over 63 years, the market still opens every weekend — Friday through Sunday. There’s good food including donuts, bagels, pizza, pretzels, fresh meats and produce, pickles, and all the local favorites. In addition to the delicious food there is also an indoor-outdoor flea market that has something for every shopper’s desire.
The New Castle Farmers Market only allows used items to be sold at their flea. Some popular categories are electronics, lawn and garden equipment, tools, fishing gear, furniture, children’s toys and clothing, computers, car and home audio, books, and paintings. Vendors have a wide range of items or specialize in one area such as vintage watches or video games. Spaces can be reserved for a month or rented for a day. With seven acres of property, there are plenty of booths available for vendors.
This market has been a shopper favorite for decades and continues to thrive with new vendors and fresh and exciting food every weekend. New Castle Farmers Market is “a better way to shop!”
