On August 10, the Main Street Market at the Boneyard in Swainsboro, GA will host the Main Street Jam. The Main Street Jam came about following the May Art Stroll concert, which was such a success that it was decided to make the event a monthly occurrence as an After Hours event. While After Hours festivities are typically planned for Monday nights, the decision was made to move the Jam to encourage better vendor sales.
About the Tunes
Hard Labor Creek has been the main performer at these events, comprised of Amanda and Brandon Bell with Austin Gordy and Clarke Schwabe, with lights and sound supplied by Drake Oglesby. “Moving the Jam to the second Friday of the month allows the Flea Market Inside to take place on the first Saturday of each month,” market manager Joadn Dunn told The Forest-Blade of Swainsboro. “The first Saturday is the optimal time for these types of sales. Sellers are given the opportunity to set up and sell if they wish on Friday.”
The Jam begins at 7 p.m. on August 10 at the Market located at 215 West Main Street in Swainsboro, GA. The Main Street Market at the Boneyard’s Facebook page contains further information for vendors looking to sell at the market on Saturday, or vendors may contact the Downtown Development Authority at 478-237-7025 or email downtown@cityofswainsboro.org. Vending spaces are 10’ by 10’ in size and run for $100 per month.
