Briarwood Lane Flag Company has roots firmly planted in the world of flea markets. President Michael Brennan started the business back in 2003 by getting a vendor license to sell at local markets in New Jersey. After experimenting with different merchandise, he found success with a line of top-selling flags. “Our company shifted from sourcing closeouts and overstocks domestically to becoming one of the fastest growing decorative flag manufacturers,” says Brennan.
The company has grown from selling garden flags out of a Volvo Station Wagon, to running three fully stocked trucks far and wide, covering some of the country’s largest outdoor events. Now, Briarwood Lane occupies over 18,000 square feet of warehouse and office space.
Briarwood Lane prides itself on its fair pricing, unique artwork and customer service. “We have greater control over our products and prices. Ultimately, this allows us to deliver greater value to our customers,” notes Brennan. “We are a straightforward company that understands the challenges independent retailers and vendors face today. We are easy to work with and take pride in partnering with small business owners.”
Due to the company’s start in the flea market industry, they make it a priority to make sure strong, personal connections are made with their clients.
Decorative flags are the perfect item for any time of the year. “They are a fun, unique, and inexpensive way to decorate your home and garden,” adds Brennan. With popular flag themes including holiday, seasons and sports, there is an array of products to choose from that are easy to display and are in demand year-round.
In the future, Briarwood Lane plans to expand their lines to cover a wide range of home and garden décor, aiming to become a household name in the industry. “Garden flags are the backbone of our business and are selling faster than ever,” declares Brennan. “Stay tuned; new products will be coming shortly.”
