Poor Boy Woodworks is a wholesale home décor sign company launched in 2003. From fun magnets, wall hangings and shelf sitters, to free product displays, everything is made in the USA. The company has an astounding 2,500 products, and introduces new products throughout the year.
New, customizable picture frames
The company just launched a new line of picture frames. “We offer a name drop program on the picture frames so vendors can customize them,” says Matt Hunter, owner. “That line is already doing extremely well.”
Top selling shelf sitters
“Our 18-inch shelf sitters are our number one seller,” Hunter shares. “They are miniature signs that people set a shelf, fireplace mantle, end table or desk.” Poor Boy Woodworks creates them in more than 400 designs, and the majority have clever or inspirational sayings. Examples include “We will be friends until we are old and senile, then we will be new friends,” “Love is Patient—Love is Kind,” “A day with grandchildren….Priceless,” and “It’s Wine O’clock Somewhere!” Shelf sitters wholesale for $3.50 each.
Wall hangers, magnets & more
Poor Boy Woodworks also manufactures six-inch mini signs, which proclaim sentiments such as “Joy,” “America” and “Go Navy.” In addition, the firm has 36-inch wall signs with sayings from “I Don’t Repeat Gossip, so listen carefully,” to “Thank God for What You Have; Trust God for What You Need.” It also manufactures 8-inch magnets, slat boards, plaques and routered signs in various sizes. All are available in a wide array of sayings as well as themes, such as pets, beach & coastal, Halloween and Christmas. “In our entire line, we have items that wholesale from $1.50 to $19.50 each,” Hunter notes. Our customers do very well selling our products. We have been growing nonstop for 11 years, even in the worst times.”
Visit them at ASD Vegas
The minimum order is $150. “We have free displays for all of our products, which helps vendors get multiple sales,” Hunter adds. Products ship quickly from Poor Boy Woodworks’ centrally located Saginaw, MI, facility. “We have a huge inventory which allows us to ship the same or next day,” he comments. “Shipping costs are low because we only cover our shipping costs; we do not make a profit on those fees.” Poor Boy Woodworks will have its new picture frames as well as many of its other products on display at the ASD show in Las Vegas, March 16-19, at booth SL2246.
