The annual holiday flea market returns to Nashville this December 9-10th. Porter Flea Holiday Market, or #PFHoliday16, features a mix of unique, local and handmade gifts. Everything from jewelry, art, clothing and home goods will be on display at the Porter Flea. The event kicks off with an intimate ticketed Preview Market on Friday December 9th. Attendees will get early shopper access and additional festive bonuses. The main market will run the next day, Saturday, December 10th.
Cofounders Jessica Maloan, Brent Elrod and Katie Vance launched Nashville’s Porter Flea in July, 2011, with a focus on the creation and appreciation of modern handmade goods. The flea is held twice per year, in the summer and winter seasons. Every vendor at each event is hand-selected by Vance and her family with attention to quality, creativity, seasonality and originality. They strive to support local business and community while providing shoppers a varied selection of paper goods, men’s and women’s apparel, children’s apparel, photography, ceramics, illustration, posters, furniture, home goods, jewelry, packaged foods and beauty products.
The bi-annual market has welcomed tens of thousands of shoppers and hundreds of local businesses. In addition to unique and handmade items, the event also offers visitors local food vendors, coffee, and drinks. Admission to the main Saturday market is free. Admission to the ticketed Friday night Preview Market is $25. For more information, visit www.porterflea.com.
