Rogers Community Auction is kicking the autumn season into high gear with their second annual upcoming Happy Halloween Party. On October 30th, the event will have pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, a costume contest, hayride and more for the shoppers to enjoy. “We thought this event was going to be a small turnout, but we were overwhelmed at the amazing response we received last year,” says Kymberly Seabolt, Promotions and Public Relations Representative. “We had so many customers ask if we were going to do it again this year and we knew we could not let the community down.”
Celebrating its 60th birthday this year, Rogers Ohio is known as the largest open-air market in the Tri State area and was named “Best Flea Market in Ohio” by Ohio Magazine. With over 1600 vendor spaces, five miles of market space and 70 acres of free parking, Rogers Ohio is always busy. Open every Friday starting at 7:30am, the market has events every weekend to bring in the crowd. With an average of 50,000 visitors weekly during peak season, Rogers has grown from a small local barn sale into a bustling market and tourist destination.
In addition to the Happy Halloween Party, Rogers Community Auction will also be preparing for its Black Friday kick-off event. Every Friday from November 27th to December 18th, Rogers will offer visitors breakfast and cookies with Santa. Black Friday is one of the busiest days of the year for Rogers, says Seabolt, and is expected to be an exciting turnout by both vendors and shoppers. The market also plans to open on January 1, 2016 to ring in the New Year with their devoted customers looking to stock up on fresh produce to serve all those New Years resolutions. “Events like these are less about the benefit to us and more about benefiting our vendors by bringing in more visitors,” says Seabolt, “and also giving back to the community that supports us all year round.”
