As shoppers look for bargains, jewelry vendors have to consider price as well as quality when stocking their booths at flea markets and swap meets. That’s why Romika Jewels, a silver jewelry supplier, does not even put prices on its Web site. “The price of silver fluctuates so much, we can’t put prices online,” explains company sales manager Manny Johar. “We want to quote the best factory price possible when customers call.”
The company specializes in keeping costs down. “We design and manufacture our own jewelry. The cost is therefore extremely affordable, and our margins are small,” he says. “Even though silver prices have gone up, we have still kept our prices under control.”
According to Johar, the silver line sells well at flea markets. “Small pendants and rings are the hottest selling item,” he says. “Our designs are modern and current.” Romika Jewelry is intended for everyday use as well. The company launched its current silver line last year with 500 styles; after continual growth, there are now over 2,500 styles, with more coming all the time. “We guarantee quality, deliver quality, and we can match and beat any price,” says Johar.
Low prices and variety are not the only attractions for vendors. The company offers starter kit options that are prepared to match the customer’s budget. Moreover, Romika Jewels has no minimum order. “We believe people will increase their volume as they have success with our products,” says Johar. “Whether it is a $100 order or a $10,000 order, one piece or 40, the quality and cost is the same.”
