Rummage-A-Rama is one of Wisconsin’s largest indoor flea market events, taking place five times annually in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion at Wisconsin State Fair Park in Milwaukee. Event managers are now booking spaces for all 2013 shows. The next event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, January 26 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and until 4 p.m. on Sunday. Following the January Rummage-a-Rama, there will be markets on February 23 and 24, as well as April 6 and 7. For vendors, 10-foot by 10-foot spaces start at $79 for the weekend and go up depending on requested aisle placement. Electrical connection charges are available for an additional $66 per weekend. Tables and chairs may be rented for $10 and $3, respectively. Setup hours begin on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and reopen just before the show, at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday or 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Popular merchandise categories include closeouts, hobby items, crafts and collectables, as well as antiques. Admission for attendees is $4, but with a donation of two canned goods to the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee, the price drops to $2. The food donation route has been such a success that Rummage-a-Rama has collected more than 65,000 pounds of food since starting the program in 2009.
