An anonymously sourced report on the buzzerblog rumor Web site says that the Game Show Network and Merv Griffin Entertainment are producing a pilot for a new flea-market-oriented contest show. The new show may be based on a somewhat similar British program. On the blog, Alex Davis writes:
The show involves pairs of two who know each other going to the Rose Bowl Flea Market and buying items from a small budget given to them. Then the team will have a small amount of time to flip the items by making them work better, look better, and so on. The team who makes more money by flipping items wins.
If this reporter can be forgiven a moment of informality … I’d watch that show!
