Creswell Sock Mills comprehensive line of socks is led by its flagship product: diabetic socks. According to company owner Rex Creswell, diabetic socks are designed to reduce compression around the sock cuff while still maintaining its shape and not falling or sagging. This encourages healthy circulation, which can be an issue for anyone suffering from diabetic-related venous disorders.
Creswell’s premium diabetic socks “expand to 12 inches on top,” Creswell notes, “while others only stretch 8 inches. They are non-binding and do not sag.” The company’s line of diabetic socks is offered in two styles and six colors. There is also an “ultra-soft” high-end diabetic sock.
Since founded in 1986, Creswell has always put a strong focus on working with independent retailers and mom and pop stores. The company works hard to accommodate even small orders, Creswell says. “The socks come a dozen to a case,” he notes. “We offer discounts with orders of four cases or more, but we can also sell less than a case for retailers who need it.”
Diabetic socks start at $7.25 per dozen, or about 60 cents a pair, and retail for two to three times that. The company also offers a full line of men’s, women’s, and children’s socks. All of Creswell’s diabetic socks are manufactured in the United States.
