The next Capitolo Flea Market will be held Saturday, October 19th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 9th and Federal Streets in South Philly, PA. The rain date is Sunday, October 20th. Capitolo is a weekend flea market and live band showcase that is held two to three times a year. Located across the street from Pat’s & Genos in South Philly, the markets generally draw thousands of residents, both local and destination driven, because of the central location.
Capitolo Flea Market can accommodate 50 vendors. Prepaid, rental of one vending space is $15 and two side-by-side spaces cost $25. The day of the event, rental of one space is $20 and two spaces rent for $30. Selling areas are six feet by six feet, and vendors must bring their own tables. Set up begins at 7 a.m.
The Capitolo Flea Market is run by Rita Caputo, Elisabeth Garson and Denise Eddis, who volunteer to coordinate the event. All proceeds generated from vendor spaces go directly to help fund improvements to Capitolo Park.
