Can you believe we’re already preparing for Easter? It still feels like Christmas was just last week. After the holiday craze, the lull in the shopping season is here, but consumers are still thinking ahead. As vendors start ordering their Easter and spring products, it’s important to know how to properly market them for the new year.
There’s No Bunny Like Social Media
Even though social media is always at the forefront of marketing a business, I can’t stress it enough to utilize what you have. And it goes beyond just simply having a page where your customers can go to ‘like’ and post something every once in a while. It’s important to engage your customers and make them want to visit your booth in person.
One way you can promote your new spring and Easter products is by giving sneak peaks on social media. Tease viewers about all the new merchandise they can find at your booth, and maybe even post a vague picture of the corner of a new product along with it. Get creative and fun with it to get consumers out from behind the computer screen and at your booth.
Get Crackin’
Marketing on social media is a lot easier when you have followers to show your products. You can easily get customers to like your Facebook page if you offer them a coupon or a small gift for following you. This is also a great way to encourage a sale. When a potential customer walks into your booth, let them know they can get an extra 10 percent off their purchase, BOGO, or a free gift with purchase if they like your Facebook page.
Hey There, Hop Stuff
Once you wow your customers with all of your great new products, customer service, and a friendly and inviting atmosphere, encourage them to post a good review on Facebook. If your company is listed on Google, they can also leave a stunning review there, but Facebook can help to get you more views and likes.
If your Facebook business reviews tab isn’t activated, then you’re going to want to do that, especially now as Facebook has changed reviews to recommendations and is expanding this functionality to the user’s feed. If somebody asks for a recommendation and a friend mentions a certain brand page then this mention will appear as a recommendation in the Reviews tab in the brand’s Facebook page.
According to Embed Social, Facebook reviews can increase your organic reach, boost credibility, promote positive and direct customer service, get top position at Facebook professional services, and gain immediate trust with your customers.
Create Egg-cellent Easter Displays
With spring on everyone’s mind, it’s time to bring out all the spring decorations. Get colorful signage, decorate your tables with flowers (even if they’re fake – less mess), and any other brightly colored decor you may have lying around your booth.
The key here is to create signage that inspires customers to shop from your booth. Think of some funny Easter puns you can include on your signs, such as “We are egg-sperts in beauty products,” or “I carrot wait for you to try our products!” Even if they’re kind of corny, it’ll be sure to catch the eyes of passers-by and make them laugh.
Peep Around
Many different flea markets host special Easter events, so make sure to ask your market managers if they’re planning anything. If not, then have a look around your area for nearby fleas and their list of events. FleaMarketZone.com is a great place to find flea markets near you, and the best part is, you can message each market directly and ask if they’re hosting any Easter events.
