The St. Germain Flea Market, in St. Germain, WI, is now in its 29th year. Sponsored by the St. Germain Volunteer Fire Department Association, Inc., the event is held every Monday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, at the St. Germain Community Park. Located at the corner of highways 155 and 70, the market runs May 27 through September 2. Admission and parking are free for shoppers.
The St. Germain Flea Market accommodates around 430 vendors weekly, selling a variety merchandise, including antiques, collectibles, sporting memorabilia, tools, crafts and food. There is also a farmers’ market on the south side outside of the pavilion with electricity available.
Open spaces are 10 feet by 10 feet, and sheltered spots are around 7 feet by 9 feet. Daily rates are $20 for the first space and $15 for each additional space. Full season rental fees are $195 per space. Food vendor sites are 20 feet by 20 feet and rent for $390 for the season. There will be a $10 per week charge for the use of electricity. New vendors are always welcome.
The money raised by space rental fees at the flea market benefits the St. Germain Fire & Rescue Department. It enables the volunteer organization to purchase equipment and protective gear, and supports training opportunities.
New for the 2013 season are:
- A vendor directory and new map for customers looking for specific merchandise.
- Site re-numbering to better assist customers in using the new directory.
- New gravel around the flea market areas in an effort to reduce dust.
- Advertising: the St. Germain Business & Events Directory; various websites promoting activities in Wisconsin; and live updates with WJJQ 92.5 Radio.
