Jewelry vendors looking for the next big trend may want to consider stainless steel. “When silver, gold, and platinum are struggling because of the economy, people still want quality, they still want beautiful jewelry, but they want to offset the price,” says Lidiya Kovalchuk, a spokesperson for Sales One International. “So there is a new market for stainless steel.”
Sales One is offering a new line of stainless steel items, its newly released “Midnight Collection,” through its INOX Jewelry brand. Featuring the highest grade of stainless steel, the product is immune to seawater and chlorine, and it does not tarnish. “It offers the same level of quality as silver or gold, but obviously nowhere close to the price tag,” says Kovalchuk, who works in marketing and product development.
A brand new release, the Midnight Collection consists of “affordable, sophisticated and high quality jewelry for men,” according to the company. “It just came into stock,” says Kovalchuk. “It is brand new. Nobody else seems to have anything like that.”
The stainless steel jewelry has really taken off recently. “It’s been great. The INOX select section has doubled in the last year,” she says.
Wholesale pricing for a set that includes a bracelet, cufflinks, ring, and a pendant is $63.25 total. “Usually our customers do at least triple the price. Triple key works for almost everybody.” The company’s minimum order, per its Web site, is $250.
