For over 40 years, the Anderson Jockey Lot in South Carolina has been bringing small businesses to bargain shoppers. Every weekend, over 1,500 professional, hobby, and yard sale dealers offer their treasures throughout over 65 acres. Buyers can find everything such as fresh produce, electronics, arts and crafts, home decor, tools and hardware, books, and so much more.
A visit to a flea market in Mexico sparked the idea to create the Anderson Jockey Lot and Farmers Market. D.C. Bryson decided that he would build a flea market with plenty of parking and clean restrooms, and the Jockey Lot opened in November of 1974. The market is located right off of Hwy 29, in between Anderson and Greenville. Today, the flea and farmers market not only has tons of shopping, but there are also a variety of snack bars and restaurants where guests can enjoy some delicious food and refreshing drinks.
In addition to continuously improving the quality of services at the Anderson Jockey Lot, they are also going digital. JockeyLot.com is laying a foundation to be the largest combination of real-world and ecommerce flea market around. Drawing from thousands of dealers selling in five locations, JockeyLot.com will be the source to browse and purchase the same products and bargains that buyers enjoy at the physical market. If you’re a vendor looking to sell at the Jockey Lot, visit the ‘Rental Info’ tab on their website at www.jockeylot.com.
