United Flea Markets, owner of the Mile High Flea Market in Denver, CO, the T&W Flea Market in Pensacola, and the J and J Flea Market in Athens, GA, have announced the acquisition of another Florida market, the Ramona Flea Market in Jacksonville.
Rob Sieban, President, CEO and Co-Owner of United Flea Markets says he’s delighted to welcome the highly-respected Ramona Flea Market to the United Flea Markets family. “The Ramona Flea Market is a long-standing and thriving business noted for its impressive vendor and buyer relationships,” he says. “We look forward to building on the market’s past success while positioning it for the next forty-plus years of growth.”
Ralph Waller, departing owner of the Ramona Flea Market, said he was enthusiastic about the property vision proposed by United Flea Markets. “The Ramona Flea Market is a special place and it was critical to us that the new owner not only share our passion, but also act as a strong steward for it,” he said. “United Flea Markets brings to the operation deep industry knowledge paired with a vision that respects the past while building for the future. It’s a great fit.”
The Ramona Flea Market deal includes an additional 25,000 square feet of event space, ideally suited for weddings, corporate events, family reunions and other gatherings. The market will continue to operate its normal shoppers’ hours of Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
