Over three-quarters of women consider themselves to be bargain-hunters, according to a poll run by Consumers Union and printed its ShopSmart Magazine. The news was reported online by BusinessNewsDaily.com. Other results from the survey:
- 10 percent admit they enjoy the challenge of finding the best deal.
- 40 percent of women say they bargain shop because they are on a limited budget.
- 83 percent of women polled said they would seek out a deal, even if money were no object.
- 90 percent like to share the news of their bargains with others — and 35 percent tell anyone who will listen.
The take-away for flea market vendors? Make sure your customers feel like they are getting a bargain — and make sure they know how to spread the good word about your business.
