The 2013 World’s Longest Yard Sale, stretching from five miles north of Addison, MI, to Gadsden, AL, will be held August 1st through 4th. Also known as the 127 Corridor Sale, the event spans six states and 690 miles. The event draws thousands of vendors and shoppers each year. The event encourages businesses and residents to participate by having yard sales, sidewalk sales and special promotions for a continuous stretch from one end of the sale to the other.
Started in 1987 by former Fentress County Executive Mike Walker, the 127 Corridor Sale is headquartered at the Fentress County Chamber of Commerce in Jamestown, TN. Also, on Saturday, August 3rd, the 18th annual Jamestown Jamboree will be held at the Jamestown Community Center Park. The musical celebration will also host a big car cruise. Admission is free.
