Get your costumes ready, because Zurko Promotions is holding their 8th Annual Haunted Halloween Flea Market on Saturday, October 20th. From 3pm until midnight, there will be thousands of fleas and treasures (creepy and otherwise) for sale. Shop ‘till you drop in costume for more fun with the whole family.
On top of all of the cool items being sold, this haunted flea has plenty of fun activities to do throughout the evening. There will be an awesome line-up of horror movie stars and celebrities including Robert Mukes from HBO’s TV series Westworld and Coffin 2, wrestling legends “The Nasty Boys” featuring Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags, Deadgar Winter from Deadgar’s Dark Coffin Classics, Undead Johnny and cast members from the “World of the Weird” monster show, famed actress Felissa Rose from the 1983 cult film “Sleepaway Camp,” comic artist Scott Beaderstadt will be showing his work from “The Mummy” and others, and more! Photo opportunities will also be available with a replica Chicago “Bluesmobile” from the 1980’s hit movie “The Blues Brothers!”
There will also be a gothic illusion show by legendary Ron Fitzgerald at 7pm in Building #5. Fitzgerald, Master of the Dark Realm, is an actor and gothic illusionist host for dark, sticky fun. Get ready for some ghoulish encounters and much more! Be sure to bring out your best costume for their costume contest, which will be held right after at 9pm in the same building, with children and adult categories.
Some of the flea market guests include the Horror & SciFi Prop Preservation Association, which is a not-for-profit traveling museum of screen used movie props and wardrobes, and The Age of the Geeks Cosplay Group Chicago Chapter, who are a group of seasoned cosplayers that have come together to create and organize some of the premier cosplay events in Chicago to provide a safe and inviting environment for the geek community.
This will be a “spook-tacular” event for the whole family to enjoy. Admission is $7 at the gate, and children 12 and under are free. There will also be free parking and plenty of great food.
